Maryborough Boilermaker

Richers Transport operates the company's head office in Maryborough, on the fabulous Fraser Coast in QLD. Our company is a prominent carrier into the Wide Bay region, having been established since 1935.

 

We currently have a job available for a trade qualified Boiler Maker which is based in our Maryborough Workshop. Duties include; general boiler making duties including: grinding, cutting (friction and Gas cutting), Mig, Tig and stick welding, perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner, ensure sufficient task analysis are completed to carry out work safely, co-ordinate and work in a team environment, maintain and use equipment as designed. Experience in maintenance and upkeep of heavy machinery would be an advantage.

Pay rate is based on 38 hours ordinary week. Hourly pay rate will be determined by experience and discussed in full during the interview.

You will be required to be able to work under limited supervision within a team environment. Possess basic electronic/electrical skills - formal or otherwise. Proven fabrication skills - welding and cutting. An ability to exercise good interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to understand and apply quality control measures. Preferably have a licence to operate forklifts and heavy vehicles. Physically fit with good hearing, vision, good coordination and manual dexterity.
